Synopsis
It was clear that Chris Reitsma (born December 31, 1977 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) was destined for a life in baseball at a very young age. In 1996 he became the highest ranked Canadian ever selected in the Major League draft. He had become Canada’s most talented exports.
A right-handed relief pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization, he made his Major League debut on April 1, 2001, with the Cincinnati Reds. Sadly, jeopardy soon followed when Reitsma broke both his arms. Follow Chris on his amazing journey through the Major Leagues.
